Jamie Carragher has paid tribute to Chelsea's achievement of reaching the Champions League final after joking that the game in Istanbul between the Blues and Man City will be a nightmare for him.
Chelsea saw off Real Madrid 2-0 to book their place in the final courtesy of goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount.
They will now face Man City, who beat PSG 4-1 on aggregate in the other semi-final in two matches that went a long way to show the strength of English football.
With Manchester United and Arsenal in Europa League semi-final action, Carragher believes it shows how dominant the Premier League is compared to other European countries at the moment.
Speaking on CBS, the Liverpool legend said that, for him, the final between Chelsea and Man City was a nightmare, but that the Blues could easily have won by more.
"It's a nightmare, really," he joked.
"Listen, I'm delighted in a way because it shows where English football is right now.
"After Thursday, we could have four English teams in the European finals.
"We go back to a big story in the last couple of weeks with the European Super League, I think it tells you why Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta at the two Spanish giants are desperate for a Super League because at this moment in time they can't cope with the Premier League.
"It's not just the quality of football, it's the finances of the teams and the great managers.
"You look at Thomas Tuchel, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp... at the moment the Premier League is the place to be and it's a sorry tale for the rest of Europe because they seem a fair bit away.
"Chelsea didn't just beat Real Madrid, they battered them over two games, it should have been four or five really."
