Jamie Carragher can't resist cheeky Alex Ferguson dig after Sheffield Wednesday comeback

Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher delivered a cheeky 'Fergie time' comment as Sheffield Wednesday produced the most astonishing comeback against Peterborough to reach the League One play-off final.

Peterborough - managed by Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren - were 4-0 winners when the two Championship hopefuls locked horns in the first leg at London Road on Friday night. However, it was Wednesday who went on to book their ticket to Wembley following a jaw-dropping 120 minutes and penalty shoot-out.

Wednesday had other ideas, though, as Callum Patterson netted before Darren Moore's side went through after scoring all five of their penalties in a shoot-out.

Dan Butler was the player to miss for Peterborough. Jack Hunt scored Wednesday's winning spot-kick.

Before that - as he watched the drama unfold on TV and social media - Carragher took to Twitter to share his verdict from the game and he couldn't help but fire out a cheeky dig. Wednesday grabbed their fourth goal on Thursday night in the 97th minute after countless stoppages.

Manchester United made a habit of such late goals during Sir Alex's record-breaking tenure as manager and it was in 'Fergie time' his son, Darren, and his beaten Peterborough side were on the receiving end of an unlikely turnaround. After posting 'OMG!!!!!!!' initially, Carragher added: "Fergie time!"
