Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville give Everton Premier League verdict after Brighton win

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have both been reacting to Everton’s huge win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Blues moved out of the relegation zone with a thumping 5-1 victory at the Amex. Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil both scored braces in between a Jason Steele own goal.

Sean Dyche’s side have now moved two points ahead of Leicester City and Leeds United in the Premier League table, with all three sides having just three games remaining.

And reacting to the victory, Carragher believes Everton need just one more win to ensure they will be playing Premier League football next season.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: "I think 35 points would keep you. I look at Leicester and Leeds now, and they have three games left.

"Could they win one, draw one, and lose one? That would get them to 34 points. I think Everton, if they win one more game, will be enough."

While taking to Twitter, Neville wrote: "Huge result for Everton. City up next in between the two huge CL games against Madrid. Goodison not an easy place to go to , especially after this!"
