An Ayrshire teen remains missing tonight a week after vanishing from Saltcoats.
Jamie Cannon was last seen seven days ago on the town's Kinnier Road at around 10am.
Police, who say his disappearance is "very out of character," have now issued another appeal to help trace the 19-year-old.
Specialist units including dogs have combed the area but no trace has so far been found.
Jamie is described as being 6ft 1ins tall, with short dark hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, a blue jacket and was carrying a camouflage backpack.
Jamie's dad, John, told the Daily Record yesterday: "He might be out for a night or so, obviously he's a 19-year-old boy, but not this length of time is totally out of character.
"We would normally see him or hear from him the next day or at least a phone call.
"He was quite proactive, I'd usually hear from Jamie five to six times a day myself.
"We've totally hit a brick wall, police are still are searching all CCTV and all the family has been covering every bit of parks, just totally clutching at straws but we just need to be out there doing something.
"I don't think we could just sit about the house all day, we're just trying to keep going as well as we can."
Inspector Alison Wilson, of Saltcoats Police Office, added: “It has now been a week since Jamie was last seen and we, along with his family, remain extremely concerned for his welfare.
“I would like to thank members of the public and media who have assisted officers so far in our enquiries, but I would urge anyone who might have any information which might help us to find Jamie to get in touch.
"I would also urge anyone who may have been in the area when he went missing or anyone who was driving and recording via a dashcam device to check your footage and please come forward as soon as possible with anything of relevance.
“Jamie, if you are reading this appeal, please make contact with police or your family and friends to let them know you are safe and well, everyone is very worried about you.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of May 22.
