Jamie Bryson threat sees two people arrested

Two people have been arrested in relation to a threat issued to loyalist Jamie Bryson.

Mr Bryson was made aware of the threat by police on Thursday and now two people have been quizzed by the PSNI.

Mr Bryson has been a leading figure in the protest over the Avoniel Leisure Centre bonfire. Officers were also called in over a bomb scare at the site on Thursday.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Two men in their 40’s were arrested yesterday on suspicion of communicating false information causing a bomb hoax and making threats to kill.

"Both were subsequently released on bail pending further enquiries."
