Jamie Barjonas' Rangers exit stalls as Championship clubs on transfer high alert

Rangers youngster Jamie Barjonas is attracting interest from several Scottish Championship clubs - as his proposed move to Orange County hangs in the balance.

The midfielder had been in talks with the USL side, who have links with the Ibrox outfit.

Orange County want the 22-year-old on a permanent basis but despite on-going talks a deal has still to be concluded.

That has alerted several Scottish Championship clubs who would be interested in signing him on-loan.

Bajonas has had first-team exposure at Rangers but his opportunities have been limited.

He has had loan spells at Bury, Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle.

The former Scotland under-19 caps is now looking to get games and to get his career up and running.

It remains to be seen if Orange County will be able to close the deal.

Orange County have had several Rangers youngsters on-loan in the past, including Matthew Shields, Cammy Palmer and Danny Finlayson.
