Rangers captain James Tavernier insists Steven Gerrard's departure to Aston Villa is just a natural event in football.
But he believes the club had the safety nets to absorb the shock exit and keep the players well away from the drama.
After a seven day wait the club installed Gio van Bronckhorst as Gerrard's replacement on Thursday evening.
He won't be in the dugout however for Sunday's Premier Sports Cup clash against Hibs.
Instead it will be a caretaker coalition headed up by B team boss David McCallum and including first-team striker Jermain Defoe.
Tavernier will catch up with Van Bronckhorst on Monday after the Dutchman steered clear for this weekend, allowing Rangers to fully focus on the Hampden clash.
And he said: "In football people come and go, it is part of the game. I think the club and Ross (Wilson) have dealt with it really smoothly and put us all at ease during this transition.
"I don't think much will change for us, our philosophy of play also filters down to the B Team and younger age groups. Training this week hasn't been too much of a change.
"The new gaffer didn't want to disrupt the team ahead of Sunday. That is really respectful of him. I'm looking forward to having a great chat with him on Monday.
"I have been in constant dialogue with Ross who has kept me updated throughout. I'm really excited and looking forward to this new chapter."
