James Tavernier kick starts Rangers title party as Ibrox teammates reveal 55 champagne bottle surprise

Rangers captain James Tavernier has started the Rangers trophy day celebrations by gifting all players and staff an engraved champagne bottle.

The champions will finally receive their Premiership crown at Ibrox tomorrow as they look to complete an unbeaten league season against Aberdeen.

However, the skipper isn't waiting for post-match to enjoy the day as he handed out 55 bottles of Armand de Brignac - coming in at £250 per bottle.

All bottles have a number from one to 55 engraved on them with boss Steven Gerrard leading the tribute to the gesture from Tavernier.

He shared a snap of the golden bottle on Instagram with the message "touch of class".

First team coach Michael Beale and back-up goalkeeper Andy Firth have also showing off their bottles to social media.

Firth posted the message "I love my captain" when opening up the package.

Rangers fans will celebrate the historic title win in Govan tomorrow and Gerrard has told the Rangers fans to enjoy the style.

However, during his pre-match press conference he urged fans to stay safe after plans for a march from George Square were revealed.
