James Scott latest as Hull City resume talks with Motherwell after initial bid rejected

Hull City are back in talks with Motherwell in an attempt to strike a deal for striker James Scott.

Hull had a £700,000 deal knocked back last night but have gone back in again.

Talks are on-going between the Steelmen and their English rivals.

The English Championship side are looking to bolster their attacking options and have money to spend as they are about to sell Jarrod Bowen to West Ham United for a potential £22 million deal.

It now remains to be seen if Hull will strike an agreement with the Lanarkshire side.

Motherwell are unlikely to stand in Scott’s way if a suitable offer is tabled for the Scotland under-21 star.

If a transfer fee can be agreed then it would be up to the talented 19-year-old to agree personal terms.

Championship rivals Bristol City also made an enquiry to Motherwell earlier in the window.

The 19-year-old is the latest on the Fir Park conveyor belt of young talent.

Hull have always had a strong Scottish influence and also took Andy Robertson from Dundee United before they sold him on to Liverpool.

Meanwhile Well are set to cut ties with midfielder Casper Sloth.

The Dane – who arrived from Silkeborg in the summer – has managed one appearances this season in the Betfred Cup win against Annan and is set to be released.
