James Ryan makes Leinster return for Treviso clash in Champions Cup

James Ryan makes a timely return in Treviso (1pm tomorrow) as Leinster seek to confirm their status as Europe's top seeds going into the Champions Cup quarter-finals.

Ryan is back for the final pool game against Benetton after a calf injury in a pack that has four changes from the one that helped to brush aside Lyon at the RDS last Sunday.

New Ireland boss Andy Farrell will welcome the presence of the second row, who had been out with a calf injury for two weeks, at the Stadio Monigo as the Blues look to secure a sixth straight pool win.

Ryan comes in for Scott Fardy, so the captaincy switches to scrum-half Luke McGrath. Also included are Andrew Porter at tighthead for Tadhg Furlong, Sean Cronin for James Tracy at hooker and, in the back row, Caelan Doris comes in for Rhys Ruddock.

Ruddock, who failed to make Ireland's 35-man squad for the Six Nations, is on the bench but Farrell will have all eyes on the Leinster back row as Doris, at no 8, and Max Deegan - who switches from that role to the blindside - are in great form and in contention to play against Scotland on February 1.

LEINSTER: Larmour, D Kearney, Ringrose, Henshaw, Lowe, R Byrne, McGrath (c); Healy, Cronin, Porter, Toner, Ryan, Deegan, van der Flier, Doris.

Replacements: Tracey, Dooley, Furlong, Molony, Ruddock, Gibson-Park, Frawley, R Kearney.
