Everton's new recruit James Rodriguez has given his reaction following a stunning Blues debut.
Carlo Ancelotti opted to start all three recent arrivals away to Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Rodriguez lined up on the right of a front three, with Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure in midfield along with Andre Gomes.
And throwing them in at the deep end certainly paid off with Everton securing a 1-0 victory.
Rodriguez lit up the match with an eye-catching performance - despite only having trained in four sessions so far according to his manager.
Reacting to the game last night on his social media channels, the Colombia international posted: "Great performance from the team.
"[V]ery happy for my first game as a Toffee. #COYB".

Commenting on Rodriguez's first game, Ancelotti said: "He did four days of training and his performance was outstanding. This is what he can do on the pitch."
Next up for the Blues is Salford City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening, before a league clash against West Brom on Saturday lunchtime.
Both matches this week are at Goodison Park.
