James Rodriguez's six-word message to Everton fans following Tottenham draw

James Rodriguez has sent a six-word message to Everton fans after the Blues played out a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Friday evening.

A double from Gylfi Sigurdsson was cancelled out by a Harry Kane brace as Jose Mourinho's side left Merseyside with a point as the hosts failed to capitalise on their home turf once again.

Carlo Ancelotti's side created a host of chances to win the game but failed to take enough of them, while also paying for their mistakes at the other end of the pitch.

Despite the result the performance from Everton was an improvement from what they had shown in Monday's draw with Brighton, with the Blues manager keen to make that point following the game.

And, taking to social media in the aftermath of the stalemate, Rodriguez seemed to be thinking along the same lines.

The Colombia international was once again influential for his side - winning the penalty that drew them level in the first half, almost scoring one of his own a few minutes later and providing some fantastic passes to create chances for teammates.

And his six word message following the game was one of hope.

His brief statement on social media translated to: "Head up, the best is coming."

Everton are taking on Arsenal in their next match, travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face Mikel Arteta's squad on Friday evening.
