James Rodriguez loan, Cenk Tosun future and other Everton transfer rumours rated

Carlo Ancelotti won't talk about transfers until after the Merseyside derby, but if you think that's going to stop the Everton rumour mill churning them out you're very wrong.

Indeed, another day sees another fresh batch of rumours, so we've rated them for you:

James Rodriguez

Who?

James Rodriguez, that's who. He's won two Champions League titles, the Europa League, La Liga, Bundesliga, three Portuguese leagues and one Argentinian league title. Oh and he's worked closely with Carlo Ancelotti at two clubs.

Where?

The Sunday Mirror, who say that new boss Ancelotti has thrown his weight behind a bid to bring the Colombian international to Everton on loan in January.

Rodriguez was out on loan at Bayern for the past two seasons but returned to Madrid in the summer, where he has barely featured under Zinedine Zidane.

What?

Well it doesn't seem too outlandish, does it? Ancelotti knows Rodriguez well, he's not happy in Madrid and it'd underline Everton's ambition under their new boss. So it all adds up. Whether it's a simple case of putting two and two together to make five remains to be seen, but let's not completely rule this one out.

Cenk Tosun

Who?

Everton's £27m striker, who has scored 10 times since joining two years ago.

Where?

The Times' Paul Joyce, who says Crystal Palace are trying to take Tosun on loan.

What?

Tosun is surplus to requirements at Everton and it's no surprise to see him potentially offloaded in January. Palace are on the lookout for reinforcements. Paul Joyce is an excellent journalist, too. So this one almost certainly has legs.
