James Rodriguez is fit for Everton's clash with Manchester United after Carlo Ancelotti confirmation

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that James Rodriguez will be fit to face Manchester United at Goodison Park this weekend.

The Colombia international has been a revelation since his move to Merseyside from Real Madrid in the summer, helping to transform the attacking threat the Blues have offered so far in 2020/21.

However, the playmaker was absent for the 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at St James' Park last weekend thanks to what was described by the club as a "small injury".

Images of Rodriguez back in training at USM Finch Farm were released on Friday afternoon before Ancelotti sat down to face the media for his pre-United press conference.

And the Everton boss confirmed that the influential star was back in contention.

He said: "Yes we have practically all the squad available.

"It is important to have not only James, to have Coleman and Digne back to have a better squad and team.

"It will be an important and difficult game."

He added: "He said that he's 100%. I have some doubt that he's 100% but it doesn't matter for me!"

Rodriguez has bagged three Premier League goals and as many assists so far during his time with Everton.
