The report suggests an agreement between Real Madrid and the Blues could be just 48 hours away.
Further reports in Spain from Mundo Deportivo ( via Sport Witness ) claim the transfer could be made official in the next few hours.

We know Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of Rodriguez and would like to bring the superstar to Goodison Park.
The ECHO understands the Italian boss has discussed a move for the 29-year-old with the club's board.
But I guess we will have to wait and see whether or not Ancelotti is to be reunited with the playmaker.
