James Rodriguez, Allan, Richarlison and Andre Gomes could leave Everton to play internationals

Everton stars Allan, Richarlison, James Rodriguez, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes may all be granted one-off coronavirus exemptions by the UK government to travel and play in international matches next month.

Portugal, Brazil and Colombia are both on the "red list" of Covid hotspots, so anyone travelling back from those countries would have to isolate in a government-provided hotel for 10 days.

However, The Times are reporting that clubs can "put forward a case for making trips if they can demonstrate the risks involved can be minimised".

Brazil are set to play World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina on March 25 and 31 respectively while Portugal will face Azerbaijan, Serbia and Luxembourg at the back end of March too.

Any involvement from the players mentioned will of course be respective of any injury concerns too but the Blues will hope all will have been playing regularly in domestic competition by then.

FIFA announced earlier this month that clubs would be able to stop players from travelling to represent their national sides if it would require them to quarantine when they got back.

However, a Whitehall insider told The Times : “What we know is that players have been much more at risk of transmission in domestic situations so if the clubs can demonstrate that their players will be effectively kept in bubbles, then there may be some flexibility but much will depend on the state of the virus in the countries concerned closer to the time.”

The media outlet suggest "clubs could mitigate transmission risks by hiring a private jet for the players as well as devising a schedule showing that they would not be mixing with the general public".
