James Palmer: Broncos’ interest in Josh Rosen ‘isn’t really there’

James Palmer indicated during an appearance on NFL Network this week that the Denver Broncos do not appear to have interest in trading for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen.

“Josh Rosen’s interest within Denver going after him — I’m told right now — isn’t really there,” Palmer said.

The Cardinals selected Rosen with the 10th overall pick last year but new coach Kliff Kingsbury may consider selecting Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray first overall in this year’s draft. If that happens, Arizona would trade Rosen.

The Broncos do not appear to be among the teams that could be potential trade partners with the Cardinals.

“They could have [Joe Flacco] for the next three years as their quarterback [and] another aspect of it is, they had the fifth pick — they had a chance to pick Josh Rosen last year — and they passed on him,” Palmer said.

Denver selected N.C. State edge defender Bradley Chubb fifth overall in 2018 and Rosen fell five more picks to Arizona.
