James Milner starts for Liverpool against Porto as injury blow confirmed

James Milner starts at right-back for Liverpool as they are hosted by Porto in the Champions League.

As expected, Trent Alexander-Arnold sits it out for the visitors tonight, with the right-back being left at home on Merseyside after suffering a groin problem during training on Monday afternoon.

That is the only change for Liverpool as they aim to tighten their grip on top spot in Group B against a side they have beaten by an aggregate score of 9-1 under Jurgen Klopp at Estadio do Dragao.

Fabinho and Curtis Jones both keep their places from Saturday's 3-3 draw at Brentford as captain Jordan Henderson starts for his 400th Liverpool appearance.

Up top, Klopp keeps faith with Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane as Mohamed Salah aims to continue on from his form at Brentford where he registered his 100th Premier League goal for the Reds.

Elsewhere in Group B, AC Milan take on Atletico Madrid in the San Siro as both teams look to get back to winning ways in Europe's premier competition.

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Konate, Keita, Firmino, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi, Phillips, Williams.
