James Milner has celebrated Leeds United returning to the Premier League.
West Brom's 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Friday night brought an end to Leeds' 16-year absence from England's top-flight.
With the Baggies having only one game left to play, they now sit four points adrift of Leeds, promoting Marcelo Bielsa's side back to the Premier League.
Leeds can confirm the Championship title on Saturday if Brentford fail to beat Stoke City at 12:30pm.
Otherwise, a point against Derby County will confirm the trophy will head to Elland Road.
Milner, a lifelong Leeds fan, has tweeted his congratulations to the club he left in July 2004, when they were relegated from the Premier League.
Speaking in July, Milner said that the Premier League would be a better place for having his old club back in it.
"You never know in football, what's around the corner, but I just want to contribute and win as many trophies as I can for Liverpool and add to the great history here," he told Sky Sports.
"I'm biased, but I think the Premier League will be a better place for Leeds in it, and it will be weird to play against them next season.
"It seems a long time ago since I pulled on that shirt, you look back at photos and see how big the shirts were back then.
“Plenty has changed since then, unfortunately I was part of the team that got relegated and they haven't come back and recovered just yet.
"It would be great to see them back next season and their fans are incredible as well."
