There may only be nine days away from the Champions League final, but Liverpool ’s James Milner took time out of his schedule to savagely tease teammate Andy Robertson.
The Reds squad are currently undergoing an intensive training camp in Marbella as they prepare for the European final in Madrid.
But that didn’t stop Milner and Robertson from having a bit of R&R time in the hotel pool.
What may appear to some as a playful recreation of the moment England’s national team had a race on an inflatable unicorn during the World Cup in Russia, Robertson decided to test out the floating creature.
However, he was caught out by Milner who took a snap of the left-back lounging about.
With only Robertson’s legs visible in the picture, Milner tweeted the picture and wrote: “Guess who?”
The versatile player followed up the tweet with a further photo of Robertson in a full Liverpool kit, peeking out the side of the inflatable.
Milner captioned the second picture: “More chance of spotting a real unicorn than seeing Robbo with a tan #twomythicalcreatures.”
And Liverpool fans loved the banter between the pair.
BBC’s Sally Nugent said: “Pic of the day”, whilst another fan said: “He’s a Scotsman, what do you expect #Pasty.”
One wrote: “You know you’re Scottish when you’ve got to wear a t-shirt in the pool.”
And another joked: “I see the pressures getting to them.”
