James Milner reveals Liverpool's inspirational Anfield dressing room song - but makes 'blue' admission

James Milner has revealed what song is played in the Liverpool dressing room at Anfield as the players take to the pitch.

Anfield has become a fortress for the Reds under the stewardship of manager Jurgen Klopp, having now officially gone three years without defeat in the Premier League.

The last time Liverpool lost a league game at home was a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in April 2017, and they have since gone 55 matches unbeaten in the top flight at Anfield.

The crowd, as well as the quality on the pitch, have been vital in seeing Liverpool set this impressive trend, but could there be another reason.

During an interview with the BBC, where Milner performs a plank while answering quick-fire questions, the 34-year-old was asked for his favourite song – with the answer also happening to be part of the Anfield soundtrack.

After pondering his choice, Milner answered: “‘All of the Lights’ by Rihanna, that’s what we walk out to before a game.”

Milner also answered a question about his favourite colour - and an explanation Liverpool fans may understand.

“I always hated red,” said Milner.

“Obviously growing up as a Leeds fan, and disliking Man United.

“But, obviously, red I don’t mind too much now, but it was always blue growing up.”
