James Milner cannot resist Leeds United promotion excitement in hometown return

Hundreds of fans turned out to see James Milner upon his return to Leeds on Sunday morning as he signed copies of his new book.

Ask a Footballer: My Guide to Kicking a Ball About was published at the end of October by the Leeds United academy product.

Milner took the opportunity to return to his hometown after watching his current side Liverpool beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 at Anfield the day before.

Signing copies of his book at Waterstones’s city centre store, Milner was met by a long line of fans, largely of a Whites and Liverpool persuasion.

The 33-year-old was happy to sign merchandise as well as the books with personal messages, many of which included requests for MOT (Marching on Together) and messages for Liverpool and Newcastle United fans.

Milner was heard talking about United’s promotion chances, his hope to see them back in the Premier League and how impressive yesterday’s win was.
