You'd forgive him for not being too friendly to fans when he's out and about in his hometown.
After all, Hollywood A-lister James McAvoy deserves a bit of downtime like the rest of us - and given his hectic movie schedule of late, he's earned it.
But it comes as no surprise for us to hear that one of our most famous modern sons is more than welcoming to his fellow Glaswegians, and it properly melts our hearts.
Photographer Jamie McFadyen was working on a photoshoot with with local singers The Da Capo Daughters in Merchant City club the Riding Room last night when he spotted the X-Men star walking by.
And after chancing their arm to involve him in the shoot, the trio were left delighted, and wholeheartedly reported that James, is in fact, as "sound" as we'd always assumed he would be.
Jamie told us: "He was actually very, very sound.
"I saw him pass by the window and was star struck so we politely asked him for a photo.
"He honestly could not have been nicer, I complimented 'Inside I'm dancing' and he shook my hand.
"It was very very cool and he made our night."
