James May heading to India for third series of Prime Video travel show Our Man In...

James May is off to India for the third instalment of his Our Man In... series.

The Bristol-born star, 60, explored Japan and Italy in his previous outings for his Prime Video travel show and said he “can’t wait” for his latest adventure across 3,000 miles of the Indian subcontinent.

Starting his journey in Mumbai, May will travel north through Udaipur to experience Holi before he heads into Rajasthan. He will then cover Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — the so-called “golden triangle” — before following the Ganges eastwards to the holy city of Varanasi.

Next, a trip to Kolkata, followed by the Himalayan foothills around Darjeeling before ending his journey in the natural wonders of the Sundarbans.

Speaking about the new series, the The Grand Tour star said: “I’ve been to India before and it’s mesmerising. I can’t wait to go back for series three of Our Man In…”

Dan Grabiner, head of originals, UK & northern Europe at Prime Video, added: “We asked Our Man In… fans what they would like to see next and this fabulous journey was the clear favourite.

“We can’t wait to get James and the team back out there for another adventure.”

Filming has already begun in India with the series expected to be released early 2024.

May is a man in-demand. Elsewhere, the streaming giant has also picked up his cooking show Oh Cook! for a second series.

Fans can follow his continuing gastronomical adventures in the kitchen as he attempts to make cuisines from around the world streaming from May 24.
