James Martin was as sweet as pie during his segment on Monday's This Morning.
The TV chef, who recently told that he is often grumpy when appearing on the ITV show due to "random questions" put to him by the hosts, seemed to be putting his best foot forward whilst working with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
In unusual scenes, James showed his happier nature as he put on a cheery display and thanked the TV favourites for having him on air.
As he cooked a rack of pork ribs for the pair, Phil and Holly admitted that they were not listening to James as he listed off all the ingredients for the food as they were busy tucking in.
This did not upset James, 48, who then decided to declare his thanks to the presenters for working on-screen with him.
James said: "I just wanted to take this time to say thank you, thanks for having me, it has been a year since I’ve been on the show."

Phil then replied: "Has it really?" before adding: "Are you leaving sounds like you are resigning!"
James then teased: "Not unless you want me to go!"
Holly then took a break from nibbling on the ribs, as she exclaimed: "Happy show birthday!"
James' kind words came after the no-nonsense cook was dubbed "grumpy" by Nadia Sawalha on Friday's Loose Women.
The star said she appreciated James is true to himself when on TV and told that she respected him for not pretending to be bright and cheery when filming cooking segments on This Morning.

In response to Nadia's comments, the Yorkshire native explained that he is often grumpy when starring on the popular ITV show - fronted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield - due to having to get up at 4 am to get the studio and having to deal with "random" questions he is asked on-screen.
After James was introduced on to the show, Nadia said: "You are not showbiz at all - to be honest sometimes on This Morning you are so grumpy but I love that you don’t care."

Explaining why his TV manner is not always top-notch, the Saturday Kitchen Live personality told: "Well I’ve got to get up at 4 o’clock in the morning and as you know if you have a restaurant through these times it is not the easiest at the moment."
Hinting that he does not appreciate the line of questioning that Holly and Phil sometimes go down when he is busy in the kitchen, he continued: "And some of the questions they ask you is random!"
