Leicester City star James Maddison has sent a message to Tottenham over the Premier League title race.
The Foxes have not been seriously considered as title contenders with talk revolving around reigning champions Liverpool, as well as Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.
But Brendan Rodgers' men are now top of the league after their 2-0 win over Chelsea on Wednesday night, though they have played a game more than Manchester United and two more than Man City.
And quizzed on the fact Leicester haven't been fancied despite their fine start by Sky Sports after the Chelsea win, Foxes star Maddison had a message for some of his side's potential title rivals which was summed up in three words: "let them talk".
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "We are not up there by fluke. We are up there because we work hard.
“Listen, people might talk about the United’s, the Liverpool’s and the Tottenham’s or whatever. But let them talk.
“We will do our business in the background and come then end of the season, it will hopefully give us a chance to be right up there.”
Tottenham are currently five points behind Leicester with a game in hand having lost to Rodgers' men in December during their difficult run of results.
That disappointing run saw Spurs drop away from the title race somewhat, but they have moved back onto the periphery with wins over the likes of Leeds United and Sheffield United.
Jose Mourinho has said his side are just a 'pony' in the title race, but others have talked them up, particularly during their fast start to the campaign.
Now at the halfway stage - or near to it for those with games in hand - Manchester City are favourites with Liverpool second, Manchester United third and Leicester fourth. Tottenham are currently fifth in the betting odds with the oddsmakers agreeing with Mourinho's pony claim.
