James Maddison's message to Jordan Henderson after contentious Liverpool penalty

It's fair to say people have been divided on Liverpool's match-winning penalty against Leicester City.

Referee Chris Kavanagh pointed to the spot after Marc Albrighton fouled Sadio Mane in the area, with James Milner calmly converting to give the Reds a late 2-1 victory.

The Foxes' James Maddison thought he had earned his side a point when he made it 1-1 in the 80th minute, and the midfielder has now had his say on Liverpool's winner.

Maddison joined up with the England squad yesterday and posted a picture of himself with fellow club teammate Ben Chilwell and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on his Instagram story.

The three players can be seen smiling and the Leicester man captioned the shot: "Never a pen was it hendo."

The light-hearted banter from Maddison follows what was a fierce encounter at Anfield.

Tempers flared after Hamza Choudhury's challenge on Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson and Ayoze Perez also had to be separated.

However, the trio seemed to be in a relaxed mood as they arrived at the national team's camp.

Other Reds Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez are also in the England squad for the upcoming European qualifiers as the Three Lions take on the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
