James Lowe signs new three-year deal with Leinster

James Lowe has confirmed that he has signed a new three-year deal with Leinster Rugby.

New Zealand-born Lowe was one of 28 players announced by the province last Friday as having agreed new deals for 2020/21.

"Excited to be staying in Dublin for another 3 years!", he tweeted earlier this morning.

The exciting winger joined the province in 2017 and has scored 28 tries in 43 starts for the province.

He returned home to New Zealand for personal reasons during rugby's shutdown during the Covid-19 pandemic and will have to quarantine for two weeks when he returns to Ireland ahead of Leinster's return to action in the Guinness PRO14 on August 22.

The former Maori All Black will be eligible to play for Ireland in early November as one of the last players to qualify under the three-year residency rule that has now been changed to five years.

Lowe, who turns 28 on July 8, played an important part in Leinster's Champions Cup triumph in 2018.
