James Lowe looks to make an impression ahead of Champions Cup semi-final as Leinster team for Treviso clash named

James Lowe will look to make a major impact for Leinster in their PRO14 clash with Treviso at the RDS tomorrow evening.

Lowe is named on the wing and wants to make a massive impact to convince Blues head coach Leo Cullen that he should start the Champions Cup semi-final against Toulouse in 16 days' time.

He was the odd man out between Scott Fardy, Jamison Gibson-Park and himself under the two man 'foreigner' rule in the Champions Cup for last weekend's quartrer-final victory over Ulster.

Also in the back three, Barry Daly has been named at full-back for runaway Conference leaders, with Fergus McFadden also returning on the wing.

There are only two starters from last week in the starting line-up against the Italians, who won at the Ballsbridge venue last year - Fardy, who will skipper the side, and scrum-half Luke McGrath, who needs more game time after returning from injury.

Josh van der Flier admits Dan Leavy injury puts his own into perspective

McGrath will be partnered by Noel Reid, who switches to out-half, with Ciaran Frawley providing back up to Reid.

Joe Tomane will partner Conor O'Brien in the centre.

With Dan Leavy and Josh van der Flier gone for the rest of the season, Max Deegan gets his chance at openside.

Jack McGrath, who this week announced his summer move to Ulster, starts at loosehead.

LEINSTER: Daly, McFadden, O'Brien, Tomane, Lowe, Reid, McGrath, Reid; McGrath, Tracy, Porter, M Kearney, Fardy, Murphy, Deegan, Doris.

Replacements: Byrne, Dooley, Bent, Dunne, Penny, O'Sullivan, Frawley, O'Brien.
