Pulisic, Kante, Abraham: Latest Chelsea team news and injury updates ahead of Porto clash

Chelsea return to Champions League action tonight as Thomas Tuchel's men attempt to put one foot in the semi-finals.

The Blues are in Seville to face Porto this evening in the first leg of their quarter-final with Portugal still off limits for anyone in the UK due to coronavirus concerns.

Chelsea had the worst possible preparation for this game, losing for the first time under Thomas Tuchel following a run of 15 games unbeaten across all competitions.

The Blues were swept aside with a 5-2 defeat at the hands of West Brom, and they will now be looking to put things right in the Champions League.

Ahead of tonight's game, we have rounded up all the latest injury news.

Take a look below.

Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva returned from injury to face West Brom and it couldn't have gone much worse with the Brazilian after he was sent off in the first half.

But the suspension doesn't count across different competitions, meaning he will be eligible to pay here.

Tammy Abraham

Abraham has now missed the last five Premier League games with an ankle injury he hasn't been able to shake off in recent weeks.

But he is back in contention for this one with Thomas Tuchel confirming: "Tammy is in the squad."

Olivier Giroud has been the Blues' hero in the Champions League at times this season, so it will be interesting to see whether the Frenchman will get an opportunity here with Tuchel making plenty of changes in that striker role so far.

Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic caused real concern in the Chelsea fanbase when he limped off before the start of the second half on the weekend.

Pulisic pulled up with a hamstring injury before returning for the second half and had to be substituted.

But Tuchel has confirmed he will return to the squad here, saying: "They are fit enough to be in the squad and will be in the squad, all three. That's good news. Christian went off [against West Brom] before injury could happen. He said at half time that if he continued there would be an injury so we took him off."

N'Golo Kante

There is good news and bad news in the case of Kante.

The Frenchman missed out on international duty and the West Brom clash with a hamstring injury, but he will return here.

The only bad news is that the midfielder is only fit enough for the bench.

"NG just did his last test and will be on the bench," Tuchel said. "He feels very comfortable, comfortable enough to be on the bench."
