James Jordan and other stars come out in support of 'top man' Phillip Schofield

A whole host of celebs have come out in support of Phillip Schofield after news of his feud with Amanda Holden emerged.

Phil, 57, took to Twitter last night to break his silence on this claims, revealing his hope that his fans don't believe claims he stopped Amanda from getting a presenting job on This Morning.

Stars including ex Strictly dancer James Jordan and perfumer Jo Malone have publicly declared themselves for Team Schofe after they both appeared as guests on This Morning.

Phil had tweeted: "The end of another really sad weekend. When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless ‘sources’.

"You’re a top man . Lots of jealous people out there mate."

Rumours of a rift between Amanda and Phil began when it was claimed he'd stopped her from hosting the show while Holly Willoughby was away with I'm A Celebrity.

Heart FM breakfast DJ Amanda reportedly took her concerns to ITV boss Kevin Lygo, with a former daytime TV executive revealing that "Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced".

This was despite it being alleged that Amanda had been told in private that "she'd got the gig".
