This November sees the launch of a very special, and extremely limited, new release of Midleton Very Rare - considered by many to be the ultimate expression of Irish single pot still whiskey - in association with one of Dublin's most recognisable retailers.
James J. Fox, who have traded at the iconic 119 Grafton Street location since 1881, have announced an exclusive single cask Midleton Very Rare, available at their store and through their site.
The original cask was laid down in April 1998 at the celebrated Midleton Distillery and has since been aged in a single, first fill ex-bourbon cask, selected by James J. Fox and former Master Distiller Brian Nation.
This exceptional whiskey has been maturing for 22 years and is bottled at cask strength (54.9%) and non-chill filtered, with a yield of only 162 bottles. Now that really is Very Rare!
Balancing pot still spices with subtle zesty undertones, this exquisite 22-year-old proudly bears the Midleton Very Rare name – the pinnacle of Irish whiskey.
