James Bond actor James Hedley has died aged 91 following a short illness.
The British actor, who appeared in 1981's For Your Eyes Only, died on December 11.
A notice in The Times confirmed the news of actor's death, with his family and friends paying tribute.
Hedley - who was born Jack Hawkins - was reported to have died after a "short illness bravely born".
"At his request there will be no funeral. He will be much missed by his family and friends," the notice concluded.
He had appeared in the James Bond film as Sir Timothy Havelock was a fictional British Marine archaeologist.

His character had been hired by Mi6 to locate the wreck of a spy ship, but ended up being gunned down alongside his wife Iona.
Away from the 007 franchise, Hedley managed to get 99 credits in his five decades-long career, including in BBC series The World of Tim Frazer and major hit Lawrence of Arabia.
He also starred in The Scarlet Blade (1963), Witchcraft (1964), Of Human Bondage (1964), The Secret of Blood Island (1964), The Anniversary (1968), The Longest Day (1962) and Colditz (1972–74).
Hedley changed his name at the start of the career to avoid being confused with fellow actor Jack Hawkins, who worked on stage and in films from the 1930s until the 1970s.
