James Haskell's wife speaks out against I'm A Celebrity 'bully' claims

James Haskell's wife has spoken out about her husband's behaviour on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and says the bullying claims are "a little bit intense."

Chloe Madeley appeared on ITV's Lorraine today to discuss James being accessed of bullying. She defended the rugby star and put the outbursts down to a lack of food and sleep.

"I think he just had a really grumpy day," she told Lorraine.

"I think when you're sleep-deprived and you're food-deprived and you're surrounded by people who you aren't necessarily friends with on the outside world, if you have a bad day you do kind of snap a bit.

"I think the 'b' word is a little bit intense."

I'm A Celeb viewers have slammed James on a few occasions for taking aim at his fellow camp-mates.

On Saturday night (November 30), James got into a row with fellow contestant Kate Garraway during a discussion about the Dingo Dollar Challenge.

Asked "What percentage of adults think a stiff upper lip is generally a good thing?" the stars talked between them to guess the correct answer.

After conferring with each other and choosing answers, James interrupted and told his camp-mates to clearly put their hands in the air for A or B.

"Listen, do it again. A - 37 per cent, put your hands up in the air, right up in the air," James ordered.

"We've got nothing else to do James," Kate butted in.

Viewers took to Twitter in shock to share their thoughts on James' behaviour.

One simply wrote: " #ImACeleb get James the bully out"

Another said: "James snapping at kate just because she took a few seconds longer to give an answer. get james out the jungle pls #ImACeleb".

Lorraine airs weekdays from 8.30am on ITV.
Chloe Madeley wrapped up her interview on Lorraine by saying all she wants to do is give her hubby a big hug and lots of food.
