James Haskell leaves I'm A Celebrity fans howling with 'umplode' gaffe

This year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp mates have mostly been best of friends but Saturday night's episode saw tensions flare.

The biggest clash came during the dingo dollars challenge as the stars tried to agree on the answer needed to win the luxury item.

Roman Kemp and Jacqueline Jossa had dutifully completed the task and made their way to Kiosk Kev, who phoned the celebs in the main camp to ask them which percentage of British people think a stiff upper lip is a good thing: 37 or 57 percent?

The camp mates then began debating the answer but James Haskell was unhappy with the prospect of a conversation and debate, growing short with the others as they talked.

After instigating a vote - which yielded the correct answer - he reclined on his hammock and remained silent.

When Roman and Jacqueline got back, he wasn't quite over the clash and stqyed quiet before a rant about people being "unintelligent."

"It irritates the p*** out of me because it’s that simple," he told Andrew Maxwell. "Explain the question, answer the question A or B, it’s a circus of stupidity.

"I can’t do it, I’m too intelligent and too switched on, just put your hands right up, let someone count them, right the majority win, shut up and lets move on.”

Andrew tried to defend the option of talking more about the question and said “Yeah but move on to what? That’s my point.”

Calling everything a "circus of stupidity," James added that he was going to watch the saga "umplode."

The gaffe soon tickled fans on Twitter:

Saturday's episode did not include an eviction as viewers instead voted to decide who would take on the next trial, opting for Ian Wright.

Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts became the first camp mate to leave the show on Friday.

Her eviction was criticised by fans though, as it came following a problem with the programme's official app.

As the result was being announced a tweet from the ITV show's account explained votes made via the app would not be included due to a "wording error."

However, Adele was still given the boot.
