James Harden should really be MVP

The Rockets have won 10 of 11 games, and their 10-2 record since the All-Star break is the best in the NBA in that stretch.

Yes, basketball is a team sport, but we can’t help but say we know a lot of this is because of James Harden.

With 41 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds, six steals and three blocks on Friday against the Phoenix Suns, the reigning MVP is now the only player to have at least 30 points, 10 assists, five steals and three blocked shots in a game.

Friday’s win marked his eighth game with 40 points and 10 assists, which more than the rest of the NBA combined.

We know Harden has been pushing through some injuries and has been in a baby slump, so we are thrilled to see him thriving again. If he ends up taking off Sunday’s game, we wouldn’t be upset because he seriously deserves some R&R before the playoffs.

Harden is still leading the league in points per game at 36.1 and is tied for leading the league in steals per game at 2.2. He’s also made a league-leading 308 three-pointers and his 2,307 points scored this year also lead the NBA.

Hey MVP committee, please vote Harden in as YES to winning another MVP.
