James Harden says he ‘barely could see’ while playing in Game 2 after ugly eye injury

James Harden suffered an ugly eye injury in the first quarter of Tuesday night’s Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors. An injury that left him bloodied as he went back to the locker room to get some medical attention.

He returned to action in the second quarter but it was clear just by looking at him that both of his eyes, which were inadvertently scratched by Draymond Green while going for a rebound, were far from feeling good. He suffered a laceration on his left eyelid and both eyes were pretty red the rest of the way.

He was often seen blocking the lights from hitting his eyes and at the free throw line he had to really stare at the rim for a bit before shooting.

Here’s hoping he can get some relief and be back to 100 percent for Saturday’s Game 3.
