James Harden, Rockets look to keep it rolling against Knicks

The last time the Houston Rockets took on the New York Knicks was back in January at Madison Square Garden when James Harden dropped a casual 61 points and 15 rebounds.

Having Harden rest on Friday would be ideal with the playoffs around the corner — Houston didn’t have Chris Paul or Clint Capela in January — so that always helps, and the rest of the team is a full go on Friday night.

Harden is also on the verge of history and could be joining the ranks of the great Michael Jordan in this matchup.

The Rockets have won four in a row and 18 of their last 21 games as they steamroll towards the postseason and are sitting at the third seed in the Western Conference. There will be some scoreboard watching on Friday as they look to keep their third seed.

With three games left, they currently trail the Denver Nuggets by1.5 games for the second seed and they have a half-game lead over the Portland Trail Blazers for the third seed. Denver and Portland are in action on Friday night as well.

The Rockets have won six in a row against the Knicks and have won a ridiculous 25 of the last 27 against New York. They are also trying to sweep the season series with the Knicks for the 12th time in the last 14 seasons.

Tip-off from the Toyota Center is set 7:00 p.m. CST on Friday.
