James Harden really is a scoring machine

We already know James Harden is a scoring machine and has become one of the most prolific offensive threats in the NBA.

But these stats of what he’s done *SO FAR* this season speak more than his average points per game (a league-leading 36.0, by the way).

When Michael says this is wild, WE AGREE.

Harden, the reigning MVP, has also made a league-leading 305 three-pointers and has two of the three games with the most points in a game at 61 and 58.

The Beard also has the highest usage rate — an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor — at 39.3 (h/t NBA Stats).

Harden also went off on a 32-game 30-point scoring streak that spanned 10 weeks. The tear became the second-longest streak in league history, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain’s 65-game run from the 1961-62 season.

When he’s on the court, the Rockets’ offensive rating 116.8, compared to 112.0 when he’s off.

You can be certain our signature is next to Harden’s name when picking who should win the MVP this year.
