James Harden posts tribute to Nipsey Hussle on Instagram

It’s hard to fathom what James Harden is going through right now, days after losing his close friend.

The Houston Rockets star took to Instagram Tuesday afternoon to pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle, who tragically passed away at the age of 33 in a targeted shooting Sunday night in Los Angeles.

“Where did you go?,” Harden wrote. “Please don’t leave. ON GOD imma make sure I finish what we started. NH THE GREAT I love you forever.”

Nipsey Hussle and Harden both attended Audubon Middle School in Crenshaw, where the shooting occurred and had shared a bond throughout their careers. Harden requests Houston’s in-house DJ TGray to play a lot of Nipsey Hussle along with a lot of other Los Angeles based hip-hop before games at the Toyota Center.

Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Davidson Asghedom, attended Harden’s MVP ceremony last season, as well as all of his charity events.

Despite missing practice on Monday, Harden will play Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings.
