Oh, James Harden. You didn’t need to do this.
By “this,” I’m referring to what he did to this week’s cover of the New Yorker, which features himself, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in a cool painting. In the background of said cover are two New York Knicks — R.J. Barrett and Julius Randle — trailing behind them.
In other words, yes, the Knicks are behind the Nets. Coming up strong, but not quite there yet. No editing necessary, we get the message!
But Harden decided that wasn’t enough, and so here’s what he tweeted on Tuesday afternoon (and I’ve included the original cover below it):
