James Harden can’t stop scoring 50+ points

The reigning MVP did so on the second night of a back-to-back, dropping 57 points (27 points in the fourth quarter and overtime) that included nine made three-pointers and going 12-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Harden played 46 minutes of a possible 53 and also recorded eight assists, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks as the Grizzlies squeaked by with a 126-125 win.

This performance means Harden has had five-straight months with at least one 50-point game, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only other NBA player to accomplish this.

Check out how his seven games of 50+ points stack up among some of the greats, thanks to StateMuse.

This season, Harden has scored 50 or more points more times than he’s scored less than 25.

To add to his scoring repertoire, the league’s leading scorer also become the only player ever to score 30+ points against every opponent in the league earlier this week.

And what’s more, is that earlier in the season, Harden had scored 30 or more points in 32 consecutive games, the second longest streak after Chamberlain’s 65-game tear in the 1961-62 season.
