James Harden and Russell Westbrook fight over last shot in amazing NBA 2K edit

The Houston Rockets are hoping that the acquisition of Russell Westbrook will help put the team over the top after several disappointing playoff exits, but while the Rockets now boast two of the last three league MVPs on their roster, many fans and analysts are wondering whether the Westbrook-Harden reunion is going to work on the court.

Harden, who had the highest usage rate in the league by a wide margin, and Westbrook, who was second in touches per game, are accustomed to handling the ball excessively and shooting at a high volume. Westbrook struggled with his shot mightily in the 2018-19 season, and doesn’t exactly fit the sharpshooter mold the three-happy Rockets have built around in recent years.

When the trade was announced, a photo of Westbrook and Harden fighting over the ball became a meme on NBA Twitter – and the joke has since been taken to the next level, via NBA 2K.
