A leading 'yellow vest' Brexit campaigner was released on bail yesterday after being arrested on a public order offence relating to an incident in Westminster, according to multiple reports.

James Goddard was pictured surrounded by supporters at a pub in Holborn, London, after being released from a police station on Saturday.

The activist told supports in the pub that he was given two hours to leave the capital as a condition of his release on bail, the Mirror reports.

The Metropolitan Police said a man in his 30s who was arrested outside St James Park Tube station has been released on bail until early February.
