James, the 90s rock band famous for hits like "She's a Star" and "Sit Down", had the final gig of their tour ruined by "horrible violence" after a fight broke out.
Seeing the legendary rockers perform on their final night of their “Living in Extraordinary Times” tour should have been a great night - but festivities in Hull were soured by the drunken punch-up.
The band were performing at Hull's Bonus Arena when the fight broke out with lead singer Tim Booth saying those involved were "idiots".
He took to Twitter to air his grievances, calling the Hull gig a "strange evening".
"The fact is there were only a few drunk disruptors – can happen anywhere – mostly we could blank them out and perform to the joyful majority and hope they could blank out the idiots too," he said.

Hull Live reports that other members of the iconic indie group also shared their feelings online, with trumpet player Andy Diagram tweeting that his night “had been spoilt” by the drunken buffoons.
“TBH (to be honest) not the best end of tour," he tweeted.
"Horrible violence from some sections of the audience. Hope your night wasn’t spoilt…mine was.”
Despite the drunken antics of a few, fans have rallied to thank the band for their performance and apologised on behalf of their town.
"Andy, despite the events in Hull, many thanks for making my daughter Sophie’s night," Twitter using Keith Wilson wrote on Twitter, sharing a picture of his ecstatic looking daughter.

One social media user said: “Rarely have I been so ashamed of Hull…
“James and Tim Booth pleading with the audience to stop talking…the gig being stopped for fighting…just f***ing embarrassing.
“They won’t come again. Nor should they bother. Embarrassing Hull.”
Another said: “Amazing as always, spoilt by the disrespectful chatter and drunken brawls.

The band reunited in 2007 after a six year hiatus, and have gone on to record six further studio albums.
Formed in Manchester in 1982, James gained increasing popularity during the 'Madchester' music craze which swept the nation through the early 1990s.
Sit Down, one of their most popular tracks, rocketed up the UK Singles Chart when it was re-released in 1991, peaking at the number two spot. Their 1998 'Best Of' album made it to the number one.
