James Gallagher has revealed that he won't fight in Ireland for the next few years after this Friday's headliner at Bellator Dublin.
The 'Strabanimal' takes on Roman Salazar in a main event fight at the 3 Arena; his second of the year.
Speaking with Irish Mirror at the launch of the new SBG Ireland HQ in Inchicore, Gallagher said: "This is my last fight in Dublin.
"I wouldn't say it's my last ever, but it certainly is the last for the next few years because I am going Stateside after this."
The 9-1 Irishman had a late change of opponent for this weekend's fight when Cal Ellenor pulled out due to a potentially career-ending head injury and was replaced by veteran fighter Roman Salazar.
But he insists that he is unfazed by the change in opponent, and will be soaking up the atmosphere from what is expected to be another sold-out crowd.
"The result is ready made," Gallagher said. "And that is me winning and me learning, I'm going in there to learn a lesson.
"I want to learn something about myself and take an experience from it that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
"I want to look back on this fight and say 'remember I felt this way, remember I did that thing' because I want a life lesson.
"I am 22 years of age, this is my second main event in a year, another sold-out arena, it's life experiences here, something I'm going to look back on.
"I'm going to stand up on that ramp, take a look out at that crowd, take a deep breath in and just soak every minute of it in and carry that moment with me for the rest of my life."
