James Gallagher has taken his MMA record to 9-1 with a hard-earned decision victory over Jeremiah Labiano at Bellator 223 in London.
The Strabanimal had a tough time of it in his first fight since a winning return against Steven Graham in Dublin back in February, and had a huge travelling support chanting his name throughout the bout.
The first round was all James as he landed an early takedown and took control, but the Irishman was dropped in round 2 setting up a very competitive final five minutes.
And Gallagher took control early landing a big takedown before Labiano shifted position.
But the judges scored it in Gallagher's favour, handing him his second victory since losing to Ricky Bandejas last Summer.
It is expected James Gallagher's next fight will be at Bellator Dublin on September 27th in the 3 Arena.
