James Forrest has offered his perspective on Celtic's lack of transfer business so far.
The Hoops have only landed Camilo Duran on a permanent deal while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain re-signed as a free agent having played for the club last term.
Fans have been left frustated by their club's snail's pace in the market as manager Martin O'Neill confessed recently that the squad in its current form is not enough to compete on all fronts.
Forrest, 35, is confident Celtic will make it happen. But he acknowledges that the irritation among supporters over the wait has been expected.
“Right up until the last day of the window, we've always signed players," the winger said. “There's maybe like five, six weeks left of the window and maybe two weeks to go before the league.
“The manager and the coaches have said that they want players in and I think it's just natural.
"Obviously, there's players that we don't know when, when or where that they are coming from, but we just kind of wait and see and, and wait until they do come in.
“You're always wanting big signings and it gets the fans excited as well."
