James Forrest has undergone surgery and is likely to miss the next eight weeks for Celtic.
Neil Lennon confirmed the wideman is likely to be out for a "considerable time" after having an op to help repair an ankle injury.
Forrest has been missing since limping out of Celtic's 1-0 Europa League qualifying victory against Riga in September. Lennon said afterwards he had suffered a fracture and would miss a number of important games.
The Celtic boss confirmed this morning that he's now undergone surgery and will be out of action for at least six to eight weeks – meaning he faces a race to be fit before the new year.
While Forrest is set to miss a couple of months, Christopher Jullien could be back sooner for the Parkhead club.
The defender has missed several weeks due to a back injury, and went overseas for treatment, but is likely to be back in contention after the international break – when Celtic travel to Easter Road to face Hibs on 21 November.
