James DeGale and Chris Eubank Jr have ramped up the fighting talk for one final time in the last fight press conference.
DeGale, who recaptured his IBF super-middleweight world title in a rematch with Caleb Truax last April, relinquished his belt to take on Eubank and the 2008 Olympic gold medallist has vowed to retire if he loses the fight. Eubank Jr has only fought once since losing to George Groves in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series, stopping JJ McDonagh in Saudi Arabia. The two finally meet at the O2 on Saturday night.
Here's how it played out:
DeGale vs Eubank Jr begins at 7pm Saturday on ITV Box Office and can be purchased for £19.95
“I went out to Las Vegas in the summer and met Nate,” Eubank said. “We just clicked.
“I liked how he trained me, his boxing mentality, the things he was saying and doing with me. He's not some guy who's trained a million world champions but he's trained a few good guys.
“It just worked for me. I brought him over to England, he's been living with me and we've been very specific in our training for James, which is something I've never really done before."
